Molds are tools used in the production, manufacture and processing of many products. It can be said that making molds is not the ultimate goal, but mold manufacturers design molds that meet the requirements of precision, quality, and size specifications according to customer needs, so as to manufacture new products. 1. Short manufacturing cycle


Mold manufacturing must not only meet product standards, but also meet market competitiveness requirements. Mold is only one part of product production. In order to keep up with the production rhythm, the cycle of mold manufacturing must not be too long. The time reserved for mold making is not long. Make sure that the mold is qualified and correct. In addition, making a mold is not as simple as everyone thinks. For some complex mold processing, such as the surface machining process in the blind hole of the cavity, the process procedure is quite complicated. It is necessary to design the processing technology in advance and equip with reasonable processing equipment. At the same time of processing accuracy, it can also appropriately reduce the cost of mold manufacturing.


2. High precision requirements


Injection parts are part of the product, and the accuracy of the injection mold is directly related to the accuracy and quality of the product. Generally speaking, high-precision molds need to ensure that the tolerance range is in the micron level to ensure the product qualification rate. If the product accuracy requirements are not so high, ordinary molds can be used for production.


3. High production cost


The higher the precision of the mold, the higher the production cost and the longer the cycle. The processing cost of the high-precision mold is higher than that of the ordinary mold. Among the many technological methods, the use of molds is relatively expensive, and the processing cost of the molds accounts for about 20% of the cost. Therefore, in order to control the cost, the service life of the mold can be extended, the processing quality of the mold can be improved, and the loss can be minimized.


Fourth, the mold shapes are complex and different


There are all kinds of molds with different shapes and complexities. Making molds is not a simple plane, but at least two-dimensional and three-dimensional curved surfaces, which are completed by the cavity and the core. In addition, the materials used to make the molds are also different, the most commonly used are injection molds, followed by various alloys, such as automobile cover molds, which are usually made of cemented carbide or hardened tool steel. The hardness of the material is quite high.


5. Wide range of use


In recent years, driven by the application demand of pillar industries and driven by high technology, the application prospect of mold injection has become more and more extensive, involving several major application industries - home appliance industry, automobile and motorcycle, machinery manufacturing, building materials and construction, electronic communication etc., as well as the manufacturing of testing equipment upstream of industrial production and the processing of raw and auxiliary materials, etc., the development prospects are bright, and it also brings great competitiveness.


6. Customized design according to user needs


The purpose of mold manufacturing is not to make parts, but to produce products that meet the design requirements according to user needs, which leaves a lot of space for product production. The process of mold making is relatively complex, and it is often produced in small batches, requiring collaboration to complete, and sometimes even mold making and mold injection are not in one place.
